Our Strategy
How we want to go about things ...
Our mission strategy, when combined with our evangelism and outreach ministries, assures that Pulborough Brooks Baptist Church is intentional about being a balanced, missional church. We want to play our part in building the Kingdom of God as we seek to obey Christ’s command to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19). Our desire is to help bring in the spiritual harvest both in the community in which we live, and further afield.
Our Missions Strategy has the following components:
1. Mission as a Priority:
The PBBC leadership team and members, will work under the leadership of a Minister to oversee our missions program. The leadership team places a high priority on mission through planning, promoting, and supporting all aspects of the churches mission program. It is our intention to reach out to those who have become disaffected or detached from church, to renew within them a passion for the Lord and commitment to Christian fellowship. We also plan to reach out into the community to those who have not yet committed themselves to a daily walk with Jesus, through Alpha courses, Messy Church, Time out for Dads and community action groups.
2. Strategic Partnerships:
One of the means that PBBC will use to achieve the goals of its mission program is to seek involvement in local strategic partnerships with other local churches, para-church organizations, our regional Association and international mission agencies. The goal of these partnerships is to make financial, prayer, and people resources available to a variety of ministries in order to help the ministries fulfill their mission and to give PBBC members tangible ways to be involved in mission.
