The Leadership Team Working Together

The Leadership Team

Judith Ellis (Minister)

It is a pleasure to work with the PBBC Leadership Team. I have had 35 years’ experience in leadership in schools, colleges and churches. I enjoy walking, gardening and riding motorbikes. Although I haven’t had a motorbike since returning from being a missionary in Nepal in 2014. I love the church being the family of God both locally and worldwide. I have chosen the path of singleness which I find to be rewarding and fulfilling. I love to learn, having recently completed my MA in Kingdom Theology and Ministers Training at Spurgeon’s College in London.

Ruth Fischbacher (Treasurer)

Having been brought up on a farm I love the countryside, animals and being outside. In the   past I have worked as a rural practice chartered surveyor, a nurse and I now lead, on a part time basis, donkey walks for a Christian charity. This enables me to get to know different people, walk which is a passion of mine, and to be with animals I love! I also derive pleasure being hospitable often serving home grown produce.

I am a widow and am blessed with one married daughter. It is a privilege to have joined the leadership team where I will be able serve God and the church.

Karen Banner (Secretary)

I have been a member of PBBC since 2013. I’m married to Graham and I have 4 daughters and 2 stepsons. We have 9 grandchildren. I enjoy reading and visiting new places.

Karen Howling (Deacon)

I am a founding member of PBBC which was formed in 2011. I was born and brought up in Bolivia, South America, my parents working as missionaries there at the time. I am married to David who was the first minister of this church, and we have 2 children.
I love reading, gardening, boating, sewing and cross stitch and enjoy finding out about different cultures both ancient and modern.
I work as a full time cleaner and prior to this, was a manager in two early years settings. I am also a probationary waterways chaplain, aiming to bring God’s love to the boating community.
